The Christus Medicus Foundation is now offering the first ever pro-life health plan for individuals and families and it is more affordable than comparable plans.
This plan does not:
- Subsidize abortion for any reason;
- Undermine parental rights; or
- Fund any other procedures that violate Catholic or biblical principles.
It is already available in Indiana and will be released in Ohio and Illinois in January 2007. We are also planning to provide his new health plan to our members in California, Florida, Nebraska, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia before January 2008. With the appropriate legislation in the next Congress,
our dream is to offer pro-life health plans nationwide to all Americans.

The major reason for offering this new plan is to give pro-life, pro-family Americans the freedom to choose a plan that is within their budget and consistent with their faith values.

For years, insurance companies and healthcare consultants have been cleverly manipulating employers, insurance agents and brokers into believing that they have excluded abortion by:
- Making statements in the exclusion section of their Certificates of Insurance such as "no benefits provided for voluntary or elective abortions";
- Claiming they removed abortion when all they did is remove it from the certificate given to the policyholder, and
- Stating that state or federal law required abortion coverage in health plans, when they did not.
Our new CMF pro-life/pro-family medical plan allows real "conscientious choice" in selecting a health plan AND protects parental rights because it
does not cover surgical or chemical abortion for any reason. In addition, it does not cover any of the five immoral, unhealthy contraception methods (IUD, Morning after Pill, Diaphragm, Birth Control Shots, and Birth Control Pills) that are confidentially made available to children of any age without parental consent or knowledge.
It is important for you to know that the
Christus Medicus Foundation does not profit from our newly sponsored health plan. The sole purpose of offering this plan is to provide our members with a health plan that fosters a health care "culture of life". I am enclosing an abortion center ad, which clearly demonstrates the insurance industry's attack on our children and our parental rights. I am also enclosing the
CMF Membership Enrollment Form that needs to be completed for anyone who wants to purchase the CMF sponsored Plan.
We urgently need your prayers and financial help to continue our work in educating religious leaders, pro-life/pro-family leaders, and healthcare professionals on the need for protecting freedom of conscience and parental rights in healthcare. Our new medical plan is just a small step toward our much larger goal of sponsoring nationwide medical centers and health plans that help to build a culture of life and a civilization of love.

In September I was in Washington, DC and the first week in October I was in St. Louis to garner support from the pro-life and pro-family community. We must create a consortium - spiritual leaders of all faiths, doctors, hospitals, health insurers and others in the health care field - to bring a strong, coordinated, financial commitment to the culture of life and to support the exciting Health Care Choice Act (H.R. 4662). This Act will allow cross state purchasing of health plans. People living in states that have unaffordable and immoral health plans will be able to purchase a health plan in a state that allows affordable and moral health plans.
Your 2nd quarter contributions helped launch our new health plan in Indiana. Your support also helped educate our pro-life/pro-family friends in Washington, DC on the need to fight for life by creating a healthcare "culture of life."
We need your immediate help in raising $40,000 to expand our efforts in other states. This email is being sent to 400
individuals. If everyone who receives this email will donate $100, we will reach our goal. If you can give more, please do. If you can't give $100 right now, please give as much as you can afford.
