Michael O'Dea has been involved in the healthcare industry for twenty-nine years. He has published articles and spoken to the prolife community on health care issues for the last twelve years. He is founder and Executive Director of the Christus Medicus Foundation (CMF). For the last four years he has been President/CEO of the ValuSure Corporation, a unique management resource and benefits consulting firm, specializing in prolife health care . Michael J. O'Dea is married and father of seven children, of which five are adopted. Mr. O'Dea is a Roman Catholic and an active participant at St. Michael's Parish in Southfield, MI and serves as Chairman for Project Life. He founded and has been a board member of Mother & Unborn Baby Care, a non-profit charitable organization that assists mothers faced with a crisis pregnancy, since its inception in 1984. Out of the 750 charitable organizations nominated in 1995, Mother and Unborn Baby Care was selected one of the three recipients of the Acton Institute's Samaritan Award for their dedicated commitment to serving others. Along with his wife, Peggy, Mr. O'Dea has been housing and counseling pregnant mothers since 1980. He is a speaker for the pro-life cause with a special interest in speaking to young people and promoting adoption, chastity and natural family planning. Mr. O'Dea is an MBA graduate from the University of Detroit. He entered the United States Army in 1967 as a Private, attended Officer Candidate School, where he was commissioned in 1968.
