In actively caring for your health, through your direct responsibility, you work to improve your health, your healthcare and your health care security insuring greater well-being. Through your well-being you are prepared and able to care for others and to contribute to the well-being of those you love and those who are all the participants in ActiveCare, this caring is active charity. At ActiveCare we are committed to this mission of ministry to you, to those you love and to every ActiveCare Plan participant, serving the whole you for true well-being.

Individual Responsibility -The stewardship of your health is an everyday job; it requires your direct and active responsibility daily. ActiveCare is dedicated to provide to you the knowledge, programming, and services required to actively engage you in the daily management of, and investment in, your health; to empower the whole you and your whole being.

Investing Together - Together, with you, ActiveCare invests in your improved Health, Healthcare and Health Care security. At ActiveCare we actively provide ongoing education, programming, counseling, health tracking and health reward management services, all designed to actively engage you in the successful and active management of your improved health and well-being, empowering you and those you love to live more fully.

A Faith Community - In accordance with our faith we are directly and actively responsible for ourselves as individuals and beyond ourselves, through charity for the larger community. In community we serve each other in sacrificial love, caring for those who are in most need. ActiveCare is fully engaged in the provision of services and the provision of care that is truly focused on good health, the value of the whole person, whole well-being, Christ-centered caring. ActiveCare is a health plan that empowers your right to full compliance with Christian teaching, critically centered on the true and active presence of God in our daily lives, through active, faith, hope and charity. Vitally important is that ActiveCare goes further than responsibly assuring our members the financial resources required to care for those of us in weakened health conditions.

Joining ActiveCare is more than a decision to join and participate in a great health plan, it is a decision to join and be a part of a mission of caring for all those that need our love in daily life and living. It is the opportunity to share our Christian faith actively.

One does not need to be Christian to be a member of ActiveCare. Among Christians and other faiths, there are many views and differences in teachings. Yet all traditional faiths teach the central importance of God in our daily lives, in our whole being, our whole well-being and the importance of our spiritual life in our good, whole, health. We welcome all those of faith that are committed to the practice of "their" faith in daily life, empowering the Right of Individual Conscience and the Right to Religious Liberty. This said Christus Medicus ActiveCare is a Christ-centered faith based medical plan and ministry of caring.

The Christus Medicus ActiveCare plan is grounded in traditional Catholic - Christian thought, dedicated to the teachings of the Church and the sanctity of all human life from the moment of conception to natural death. ActiveCare does not participate in the financing or promotion of abortion or any care that is contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church. ActiveCare empowers our members to actively practice their faith in daily life by providing our members a health care plan that fully respects the practice of their faith. Elements of care that are not funded by ActiveCare due to faith centered concerns and teachings are not covered services under the plan. The plan or your participation in the plan does not preclude you from individually investing in elements of care that are not covered by the plan.
